Tashi Gyalson is new CEC of Leh

Srinagar: Bharatiya Janta Party’s Tashi Gyalson was Friday elected as chief executive councilor (CEC) of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh while Tsering Angchuk was appointed as deputy CEC.

Gyalson was elected as the new chief executive councilor during the first general meeting of 6th LAHDC held in the assembly hall of the council secretariat after councilors were administered oath.

The Councilor from Diskit Tsering Angchuk was elected as deputy chairman of the Council during the meeting.

Ahead of elections, the newly elected councilors of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council were administered oath of office by Principal District and Sessions Judge Leh.

In the recently held Hill Council polls, BJP retained power by winning 15 seats out of 26.
