739 new COVID-19 infections push J&K tally to 80,476

16 fresh deaths take toll to 1268

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday recorded 738 fresh COVID-19 cases, while 16 deaths took place in the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 80,476 and the death toll to 1,268, officials said.

Srinagar district reported the highest number of 183 new COVID-19 cases, followed by 91 in Jammu district, they said.

“The Union Territory recorded 738 fresh COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours — with 290 in Jammu and 448 in the Kashmir Valley,” they said.

There are 13,712 active coronavirus cases, while 65,496 patients have recovered so far, the officials said.

Meanwhile, 16 deaths took place in the past 24 hours in J-K – eight each in Jammu and the valley – taking the death toll to 1,268, they said.

The officials said that Srinagar has 15835 positive cases (including 183 cases reported today) with 1748 Active Positive, 13780 recovered (including 289 cases recovered today), 307 deaths; Baramulla has 4640 positive cases (including 37 cases reported today) with 1373 Active Positive, 3142 recovered, 125 deaths; Pulwama reported 4122 positive cases (including 55 cases reported today) with 376 active positive cases, 3676 recovered (including 45 cases recovered today), 70 deaths; Kulgam has 2305 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 97 Active Positive, 2165 recoveries (including 11 cases recovered today), 43 deaths; Shopian has 2063 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 158 Active Positive, 1873 recovered (including 10 cases recovered today), 32 deaths; Anantnag district has 3666 positive cases (including 22 cases reported today) with 467 Active Positive, 3130 recovered (including 50 cases recovered today), 69 deaths;  Budgam has 5160 positive cases (including 46 cases reported today) with 773 Active Positive and 4299 recovered (including 57 cases recovered today), 88 deaths; Kupwara has 3794 positive cases (including 42 cases reported today) with 703 Active Positive, 3022 recovered (including 52 cases recovered today), 69 deaths; Bandipora has 3613 positive cases (including 30 cases reported today) with 425 Active Positive, 3148 recovered (including 19 cases reported today), 40 deaths and  Ganderbal has 3029 positive cases (including 20 cases reported today) with 240 active positive cases, 2759 recoveries (including 28 cases recovered today) and 30 deaths.

In Jammu division, officials said that Jammu district has 14778 positive cases (including 91 cases reported today) with 2808 active positive cases, 11764 recoveries (including 690 cases recovered today), 206 deaths; Rajouri has 2851 positive cases (including 27 cases reported today) with 503 active positive cases, 2311 recovered (including 98 cases recovered today), 37 deaths; Ramban has 1412 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 135 active positive, 1266 recoveries (including 110 cases recovered today), 11 deaths; Kathua has 2165 positive cases (including 18 cases reported today) with 231 Active positive, 1906 recovered (including 52 cases recovered today), 28 deaths; Udhampur has 2416 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 378 active positive cases, 2017 recovered (including 50 cases recovered today), 21 deaths; Samba has 1893 positive cases (including 29 cases reported today) with 550 Active Positive, 1321 recoveries (including 30 cases recovered today), 22 deaths; Doda has 2337 positive cases (including 26 cases reported today) with 911 active positive cases, 1390 recoveries (including 11 cases recovered today), 36 deaths; Poonch has 1896 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 869 active positive, 1010 recoveries (including 23 cases reported today), 17 deaths; Reasi has 1066 positive cases (including 28 cases reported today) with 320 active positive, 740 recoveries (including 40 cases recovered today) and 06 deaths while Kishtwar has 1435 positive cases (including 31 cases reported today) with 647 active positive cases and 777 recoveries  (including 41 cases reported today) and 11 deaths.
