JKYF chairs monthly meeting of district representatives, programme executives

Srinagar: The J&K Yateem Foundation (JKYF) has called for focusing on synergy among all volunteers to work with unity, dedication, honesty and humility for the great humanitarian cause of  welfare and rehabilitation of orphans, widows and destitute.

As per a statement issued to the media, chairing monthly meeting of District Representatives & Programme Executives at JKYF Central Office “Baitul Hilal”, Jawahar Nagar here, the JKYF Chairman Mohammad Ahsan Rather enjoined upon the volunteers to develop sense of belonging for all those underprivileged sections of people who are facing poverty, disempowerment and socio economic deprivation.

He asked the volunteers to follow the path of truthfulness, fairness and transparency in taking forward the mission of JKYF while protecting the edifice of public institution that is running on public financial resources, the statement said.

All District Representatives and Programme Executives presented the monthly progress reports of the activities and programmes carried out in their respective districts.

General Secretary & Secretary Finance Dr Tariq Ahmad Malik while talking about the progress reports appreciated various districts for providing services like ambulance, medicare, oxygen concentrators etc besides continuing mandated activities related to welfare and rehabilitation of orphans, poor, needy and widows. He identified the grey areas and enjoined upon the district representatives to focus on the same to strengthen the edifice of JKYF on the lofty principles of Islam while upholding integrity and democratic ideals.

Senior volunteer and Ex Chairman Mohammad Rafiq Lone in his vote of thanks asked volunteers to continue their missionary zeal with which they have been working in current COVID 19 pandemic that has thrown huge multifaceted challenge to the whole world.

Representatives from all the districts of Kashmir Valley except Kupwara and Anantnag participated in the meeting.
