Muharram procession taken out in Delina Baramulla
Delina : The Muharram procession was taken out in north Kashmir’s Delina area of Baramulla district on Saturday to commemorate the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions.
Amid tight security arrangements, the main Muharram procession began from local Imambada Delina and culminated at the local graveyard after passing through Srinagar-Baramulla highway. Hundreds of mourners participated in the Zuljinah procession.
Amid Covid-19 pandemic, stringent security, medical and other necessary facilities were put in place by civil administration beside several top police and civil officials were deputed to monitor the procession.
While addressing the mourners in Imambada, speakers talked about the battle of Karbala and paid rich homage to Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions who sacrificed their lives and tolerated worst kind of atrocities at Karbala in Iraq over 1400 years ago to safeguard the righteousness, humanism and justice.
They said that martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions depicted their unblemished and solid faith in Almighty Allah and truthfulness.
