Shocked by her husband’s death, woman allegedly commits suicide in Uri
Uri: Shocked by her husband’s death, a 50-year old woman allegedly commited suicide in north Kashmir’s Saidpora Uri on Saturday morning.
Official sources told GNS that 50-year old Aulad Ali Shah S/o Mang Shah was admitted at GMC Baramulla and died this morning due to heart attack.
“After his dead body was brought home and people started making preparations for his last rites, in the meantime, her wife consumed some poisonous substance and was shifted to SDH Uri where doctors declared her dead,” they said.
Aulad Ali was an empolyee of J&K Gareem bank and was posted at Pringal Boniyar Branch.
“As per the primary investigation, it comes to fore that the woman couldn’t bear the loss of her husband and consumed some poisonous substance, ” SHO Uri Mohammad Ashraf told to GNS
“We are investigating the matter,” he said adding “The body will be handed over to family after completing the legal formalities,” he said.(GNS)
