30 days training programme ‘Barefooted Veterinarians’ starts at SKUAST-K

GANDERBAL, FEBRUARY 25: A month long training programme for unemployed educated youth entitled, ‘Barefooted Veterinarians’ was inaugurated today by Director Extension Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad in presence of Director Research, SKUAST-K of Prof. M.S Mir.

The training programme is organized by MLRI in collaboration with Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) for the unemployed youth of Baramulla and Bandipora districts.

The trainees besides theoretical and practical training on different livestock operations will be exposed to the clinical and non-clinical subjects of veterinary services at faculty of veterinary sciences, Shuhama and various other Animal Husbandry Centres.

More than 100 theoretical lectures as well as practical demonstrations by the veterinary scientists from MLRI and veterinary faculty, SKUAST-K will be delivered during the programme.

Prof. & Head, MLRI, SKUAST-K delivered welcome address and acquainted the participants about the training programme and its importance.
