Sonia Gandhi admitted to Delhi hospital
New Delhi: Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi on Sunday for a routine check-up. Former party president Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were also present at the hospital.
She is reportedly suffering a stomach ache, a source said. Gandhi will undergo some tests at the hospital. The Congress chief did not attend the Union budget presentation in Parliament on Saturday.
Sonia Gandhi, who has been battling health issues, was in 2017 admitted to the Ganga Ram hospital following food poisoning.
Earlier in February 2017, she was admitted to the same hospital after she complained of breathlessness. She was kept under observation for a day and relieved after.
Dr DS Rana had then said Sonia Gandhi was a known asthmatic. After having undergone relevant tests and precautionary measures, she was discharged. Sonia Gandhi was also admitted to hospital in November 2016 due to a high fever. She was discharged two days later.
