10,360 pilgrims pay obeisance at Amarnath cave

Srinagar, Jul 30: On the 30th day of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra, 10,360 pilgrims paid obeisance at the cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas on Tuesday, officials said.

They said till date 3,31,770 pilgrims have had ‘darshan’ of the Shivling at the cave temple.

Meanwhile, one critically sick pilgrim identified as 60-years-old Usha, wife of Mahaveer Sharma, of Ganganagar, Rajasthan was evacuated by helicopter today from Sheshnag to SKIMS, on the direction of Governor Satya Pal Malik, officials said.

They said in all 16 critically sick pilgrims have been air evacuated by the Shrine Board for immediate specialized treatment till date.
