Ganapora Premier League concludes, BCC Quaziabad defeat LCC Ladora

Handwara, July 22: Final match of Ganapora Premier League concluded here today at Ganapora Quaziabad Sports ground in Langate.

The final match was played between BCC Supernaghma and LCC Ladora. Bating first, LCC Ladora put a formidable total of 104 runs on the board in 20 overs. LCC Ladora was never in the hunt as they lost wickets at regular intervals. None of their batsmen was able to put a decent show with the willow and the entire team was bundled out on 104 runs.

Opener batsman Arshid Ahmad scored 22 runs and was the main contributor to the scoreboard from LCC Ladora side. For BCC Supernaghma, Basharat Shafi took five wickets.

While chasing a low total, BCC Supernaghma received a good start from their openers. Aqib Ahmad scored 42 for his team. In the middle, they lost some crucial wickets but their middle order batsmen didn’t let it to go tailender as they to put a decent show with the willow and chased the total in less than 12 overs.

It was thrilling competition between the two rivals. BCC Supernagama lastly defeated its rival LCC Ladora by five wickets. The occasion was graced by many respected citizens, media professionals and sportspersons. Mohammad Maqbool, a physical teacher, was present on the occasion.

The league was organised by Quaziabad Youngsters of Ganapora. There were total 32 teams in the league. The winner’s of the league BCC Supernagama were honored with the Trophy and a check of twenty thousand.

Runners up team were handed over trophy and some cash amount.

Basharat Shafi from BCC Superngama who scored 23 and managed to get five wickets was awarded man of the match.

Rameez Raja a top all-rounder from BCC Supernaghma was awarded man of the series for his brilliant performance during the whole series. Famous cricket commentator Tanver Dar was also present and was honored with a Trophy.

The competition proved to be thrilling amidst huge crowd.
