Budgam police charge-sheets 6 militant-associates
July 20: Police in Budgam today filed charge sheet against six “militant associates”.
The charge-sheet was filed before the competent court for Case FIR No. 02/2019 registered under relevant sections of law against the six “militant associates” identified as Tanveer Laway, Shahnawaz Bhat, Imtiyaz Bhat, Gulzar Wani, Imtiyaz Bhat and Azad Wani, police spokesman said.
He said the case was registered for Dalwan (Chahar-e-Sharief) encounter which happened on January 21, 2019 in which three militants affiliated with proscribed Al-Badr militant outfit were killed.
“Subsequent investigations in the case revealed the complexity of these six terrorist associates. As per the records available with police, they were affiliated with proscribed outfit Al-Badr,” spokesman said.
