CEC visits CHC Sankoo, reviews facilities

KARGIL JUNE 07: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today visited Community Health Centre (CHC) Sankoo and took stock of the health facilities available to patients in the health institution.

Executive Councillor for Health Muhammad Ali Chandan, Executive Councilor for Works Aga Syed Abbass Razvi, Councillor Sankoo Aga Syed Ahmed Razvi, Councilor Lankarchey Ghulam Haider, former Councillor Sankoo Aga Syed Abbass, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kargil Dr Ibrahim Khan, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Sankoo Dr Munawar Wazir and other concerned officers were present on the occasion.

The CEC went around various wards and sections of the hospital including the Out Patient Department (OPD), Wards, Casualty Block, Labour Room, General Drug Store, X-ray Room and other sections there.

The CEC appreciated BMO Sankoo and his team of doctors and paramedical staff for their dedicated services in providing better healthcare facilities to the people in the area. Interacting with them CEC asked them to work with added dedication and missionary zeal and deliver services promptly.

During the visit Feroz Khan also interacted with the patients and attendants and enquired about the status of the healthcare facilities being provided to the patients undergoing treatment at the CHC. He asked the doctors on duty to ensure that best possible medical attention is provided to the patients.

The CEC also discussed various other important issues related to the development of the hospital and up-gradation of the existing health facilities with the hospital management.

The CEC said that the present Council is leaving no stone unturned to appoint qualified doctors and ensure that patients get quality healthcare facilities. He said that concrete measures would be taken to ensure that major surgeries are performed at the CHC from this year by providing machinery equipments for the Operation Theatre in the next few months.

While responding to the demand for the early operationalization of 11 KV Feeder for provision of power to the hospital, provision of Anesthesia and Ultrasound machines, deployment of medical officers, Anesthesia and Laboratory Assistants, deployment of sweepers and enhancement of remuneration of outsourced sweepers, repair of central heating system and enhancement of central heating system funds and other related demands, the CEC assured that these issues would be given due consideration and necessary steps would be taken accordingly.

Meanwhile, the CEC issued on spot directions to the ECs to resolve the minor issues related to the CHC. He also instructed the CMO Kargil to fix priorities to meet the demands of the CHC in a phased manner.

The CEC asked the health functionaries to discharge their allotted duties with utmost dedication and commitment in providing best possible healthcare facilities to the public.
