Shoiab Lone resigns as Congress district president
Baramulla, May 30: In a significant political development ahead of Assembly polls, senior leader and Congress district president Baramulla Shoiab Nabi Lone tendered his resignation Thursday.
When contacted, Lone confirmed to ‘Kashmir Images’ that he has stepped down as district president but maintained that he was still part of the Congress party.
He said he was unable to give time to the people of his constituency and that is the reason for his decision to quit as district president.
Lone said that he has sent his resignation to the JKPCC chief G.A. Mir.
