Pakistan return Poonch boy who crossed LoC five months ago
Srinagar, May 17: A boy from Poonch district was on Friday handed back to the Indian authorities by Pakistan, nearly half-a-year after he crossed the Line of Control (LoC).
Ilyas Mohammad of Jhulas village in Poonch had gone missing on December 11, 2018, sources said.
However, a video went viral on social media two days later in which Ilyas was spotted in a village close to the LoC on the Pakistani side.
“Boy has been repatriated through crossing point on the Line of Control,” said a source.
When contacted, SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral said that boy has been handed over to the police by army.
