Pulwama, May 09: A teen girl in south Kashmir’s Tral area has authored her maiden fictional novel titled “LUNA SPARK and The Future Telling Clock”.

Touyiba Binti Javid, 12, hails from Dadsara village of Tral and is currently studying in 7th standard at Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar.

Touyiba told Kashmir Images that she is fond of sketching imaginary characters. “One of the characters in my novel is “Luna” (a cat) who travels to kingdom of dreams in search of a “Future Telling Clock,” she said, adding “I had a flair for writing since 4th standard. A children novel “Geronimo Stilton” motivated me to read more and write creative stories.”

She said that it took her one year to compile her novel and draws her inspiration from her grandfather and Elisabetta Dami, an Italian child book author.

“My novel was published by J&K Cultural Academy two weeks ago. I received appreciation from everyone including my school administration, friends, relatives and it was a great feeling,” she said.

Touyiba said that she writes poetry also. I want to become an English Literature Professor and simultaneously a writer.
