Engineer caught taking bribe in Bandipora
Srinagar, Apr 26: Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday raided the office of Executive Engineer R&B division Bandipora after complaints of him taking bribe for contractors in the north Kashmir district.
An official said that the Anti-Corruption Bureau raided the office of Executive Engineer R&B Abdul Aziz Bhat after some contractors had lodged complaints against him.
“We had laid a trap after some contractors from Bandipora approached us with the complaints that the said Exen was taking commission for the works they were being allotted in the district. He was caught red-handed taking a bribe of 20,000 from the contractor,” an official of Anti-Corruption Bureau said.
He said that the Exen has been taken into custody and further investigation has been taken up.
