Slathia presents cash reward to topper girl student

VIJAYPUR APRIL 24- Former minister and State Secretary National Conference, Surjeet Singh Slathia on Wednesday presented cash reward of Rs 21000 to Anandi Slathia as recognition and in encouragement for securing first position in eighth standard examination.

Student of Government Girls High School, the topper secured 325 out of 350 marks in the examination conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Secondary Education.

Slathia complimented Anandi and hoped she will carry forward her academic odyssey with zest and dedication. He expressed happiness over girls making a high mark in education.

He also complimented the father of the girl, Tejinder Singh Slathia of Mandi, Rajgarh Gurah Slathia for grooming his daughter in a good academic atmosphere.

The former minister appreciated the management of S.P. Smart Higher Secondary School Sarore Bari Brahmana for sponsoring the reward to encourage enterprise students. He said such an effort will go a long way in incentivize good the talented students in different spheres especially the academic.
