25 killed, 400 injured as major rainstorm hits Nepal
Kathmandu: A massive rainstorm hit several places in Nepal on Sunday, killing at least 25 people and injuring 400 others, officials said.
The rainstorm swept through several places in the southern district of Bara and adjoining Parsa in the evening, Himalayan Times reported.
According to District Police Office, Parsa, the number of casualties may rise.
At least 25 people have been killed and 400 others injured, the report said.
Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli expressed sadness over the loss of lives and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
