AIP to contest on four parliamentary seats
Srinagar 22 March: Awami Itehad Party (AIP) has decided to field candidates on four out of six Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference here today, AIP chairman, Er Abdul Rasheed that the party has decided to field Anees Rather from Jammu Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency, Shahzad Shabnum Deewan from Punch Rajori and Zubair Masoodi from South Kashmir. Er. Rasheed himself will contest from north Kashmir.
“The party may take a decision about other segments soon,” Rasheed said.
“While NC, PDP and PC are representing New Delhi in Kashmir, AIP has always represented Kashmir in every forum, everywhere without being apologetic or without compromising the truth,” he added.
