March Golf Cup 2019 held at Jammu Tawi Golf Course

JAMMU, MARCH 10:  Continuing its monthly round of activities, Jammu Tawi Golf Course (JTGC) organized March Golf Cup 2019.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from the Golfers from across the State. According to Secretary JTGC, 88 players participated in today’s tournament divided into 22 four-balls including one four-ball of children below 12 years of age and one four-ball of senior citizens above 65 years of age.

Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, Shalinder Kumar kick started the proceedings of the tournament with first ‘Tee Off’ of the morning. Kuldeep Kumar Khoda, former Chief Vigilance Commissioner, J&K, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, gave away prizes to the winners of the tournament.

In senior citizen category, the awards for the Straight Drive went to R S Chib, the Longest Drive went to M M Joshi and Nearest to Pin went to S D Singh. In children category, the awards for the Straight Drive went to Aniket Bansal.

The awards for the Straight Drive went to Azhar Mir, Longest Drive went to Rahil Murtaza, nearest to the Pin went to Manav Gupta. Dr Anil Salathia was adjudged the overall winner while Pawan Parihar was adjudged overall runners up.

The Award for player who played best amongst each four-ball was also awarded winner’s trophy including B B Sharma (MD), B B Sharma, S S Pathania, Er Harbinder Singh, Azhar Mir, Pawan Parihar, Firdous Ahmed Masoodi, Uppinder Singh Soodan, S D Singh, S L Tickoo, S S Jamwal, M K Yadav, Anil Salathia, Dinesh Chopra, N P Singh, Sanjay Mahajan, Ritesh Mahajan, Hemant Kumar, Varinder Kumar, MK Singh. Amongst four-ball of children, Arindam Sudan was adjudged the best player.

Golfers also appreciated and awarded the management of the Golf Course which is managed by Kuldeep Singh and Coach Rohit Gupta.

The JTGC Members acknowledged the efforts of Secretary JTGC for keeping the Golf Course vibrant by organizing a tournament every month. They appreciated the Secretary for making continuous improvements in the Golf Course by taking up pending works in JTGC.
