Sopore town lacks public toilets, locals suffer

Sopore, Feb 26: Locals in north Kashmir’s Sopore town are facing a huge inconvenience as not a single public toilet facility is available here.

Locals told Kashmir Images that it is an utter embarrassment and shame that local administration has failed to construct even a single toilet facility in the Sopore town.

Speaking to Kashmir Images President Traders Federation Sopore, Qazi Hashmatullah Hashmie, said that lack of public toilets in Sopore town is a pressing issue. Recently, Traders Federation held a meeting with Executive Officer Municipal Council Sopore wherein he assured that work on the construction of public toilets will start soon,” he added.

Executive Officer Municipal Council Sopore, Abdul Latief, told Kashmir Images that they have identified six places for the construction of public toilets and the construction work will start very soon.
