Congress reacts to Omar’s remarks

Jammu, February 21: Congress has reacted to the allegations of NC Vice President Omar Abdullah regarding Congress remaining silent over the harassment of J&K students outside state following Pulwama terror attack.

JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma asked the former Chief Minister to get his facts rights on the issue before blaming Congress party. He said that Congress strongly reacted repeatedly to such reports of harassments in some parts of country and Senior National Spokesperson Dr. Abhishekh Manu Singhvi is on record having repeatedly condemned such attempts on behalf of Indian National Congress. The Dehradun Unit of Congress also strongly condemned these attempts and appealed for their safety time and again.

Sharma also asked the NC leader to check the handling of situation by the Congress ruled governments in Rajasthan and Punjab where all out efforts were made to ensure the safety and security of innocent students from Kashmir studying there.

“The Congress is always committed to isolate the enemies of peace and harmony, maintain religious brotherhood to defeat the nefarious designs of Pak sponsored terror & their sympathizers, anywhere in the state,” he said.
