DIG Armed Kashmir grants in-situ promotion to 55 personnel

JAMMU, JANUARY 19: Dy. Inspector General of Police Armed Kashmir Rafiq-ul-Hassan on Saturday chaired a Departmental Promotion Committee meeting in respect of Head Constables, Sg. Constables and Constables, who have completed nine years service as on December 31, 2018.

In a press statement, a police spokesman said: “The personnel who have been granted in-situ promotion include 43 Head Constables and three Selection grade Constables of JKAP Kashmir based units. Nine Constables of AROK and its sub units have also been granted in-situ promotion. The service records of the officials were scrutinised by the DPC and were found eligible for promotion.”

“The DPC was conducted within the stipulated time in accordance to PHQ directions and orders were issued today vide AROK order No. 15 of 2019,” he said.

“Pertinent to mention that Director General of Police Dilbag Singh has directed all heads of different police wings IsG, DIsG and SsP to convene meetings of Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs) of their respective wings, zones, units to expedite and complete the proceedings with regard to the promotions including in-situ promotions of the personnel,” he added.
