SMVDU Board inaugurates Winter Coaching Camp at Katra

‘150 probables in various age groups would be imparted physical fitness training’

KATRA, JANUARY 04: A winter Coaching Camp was inaugurated by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board here at Shrine Board Sports Complex, Katra during a well attended function on Friday.

According to a statement issued by the Office of the Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Katra, during the 15 days camp more than 150 probables in various age groups would be imparted physical fitness training in motor abilities, coaching in basic fundamental skills, playing techniques, rules and regulations of the games, team combinations and other re-creative activities.

“Dr. Arvind Karwani, Dy. Chief Executive Officer Shrine Board formally inaugurated the camp by lighting the ceremonial lamp. In his address he said that the campers are required to exhibit discipline Good Corporation and natural skills. He further said they should drive maximum benefit of the facilities including coaching being offered by the Shrine Board. He also said that some big events like Marathon will be organised in near future by the Shrine Board in Katra,” reads the statement.

“Ashok Kumar Director Sports SMVDSB said that it is very encouraging and good for the up liftmen of Indian sports that the understanding has been developed among the society realizing Sports not only part of education but education itself he also presented a brief report of the achievements of the regular campers of the Shrine Board’s centre of excellence at State, National and International Arenas,” it reads.

“Shiv Kumar Sharma, President Sr. citizens forum and president wrestling Associate, Rakesh Wazir, President, Katra Hotel association, Shyam Kesar, Chairman Hotels & Restaurants, association, Katra, A.S Katoch, Principal Amba Kids Panthal, Secretary Muskan foundation, Katra, employees of the Shrine Board & large Number of Sports persons were present on the occasion,” it added.
