Baba Reshi boy bags silver medal in NJKD Championship
Waseem Ahmad Sheikh has also secured berth in Asian Games Championship-2022 to be held in Thailand

Srinagar, Dec 23: A boy from Baba Reshi village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district has bagged a silver medal in National Jeet Kune Do Championship (NJKD) at Imphal Manipur.
Waseem Ahmad Sheikh, 17, son of Abdul Salam Sheikh a resident of Nambalnar Baba Reshi village of district Baramulla is currently studying in 10th standard and is also a member of J&K Academy of Unified Martial Arts (JKAUMA), Baramulla.
Representing JKAUMA in Manipur Sheikh bagged Silver Medal in the championship. Talking to Kashmir Images he said, “I am proud of myself and at the same time I am thankful to Mr Shujad Wani, who is my teacher cum mentor.
“I am also thankful to my parents for always supporting me,” he added.
Sheikh has also been selected for the upcoming Asian Games Championship-2022 which is going to be held in Thailand.
