Training camp on skill development organized for forest dwellers

BARAMULLA, NOVEMBER 29: Forest Department North Circle and Chinar 9 Jawan Club Baramulla organized a training camp on skill development for unemployed youth of forest fringe villages.

The Jawan Club Baramulla imparted training in the field of Mobile Repairing, Fashion Designing, Art & Craft, English Speaking, Soft Skills & life skills, Assistant in retail outlets, Store keeper training, Basic computers, Colouring, Stitching and Sewing, Front Desk Assistant, Housekeeping and Steward Training, Repair of computers, installation of software, Basic computers with Internet and Tally. The participants hailing from Forest Fringe villages were informed about opportunities in these fields and free job trainings that can be received by them at Jawan Club Baramulla.

The participants were from forest fringe villages such as Kahmou, Qamar, Donewari, Walanwaaretc. The main aim of providing these trainings is to create awareness among youth in order to address socioeconomic problems of forest fringe villages which shall help in forest protection, said Pervaiz Ahmed Wani DFO Baramulla. The gathering was addressed by Brig. A. Sridhar, and Brig Girish Kalia. They advised youth to take advantage of free trainings imparted at Jawan Club so that they get necessary skills required to build their careers.

Deputy Commander Rishi Tuteja and Representatives from school of Design, crafts & Museum Srinagar were also present on the occasion.

A batch of 21 candidates enrolled at the end of training camp.
