Militants attack army patrol in south Kashmir’s Shopian

Srinagar: A cordon has been laid by troops in Meemander area of South Kashmir after Militants, Tuesday afternoon,  attacked an army party in this south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

An army official said that militants opened fire on a patrolling party of 34 RR in Meemander village today afternoon.

The fire was retaliated by the army troopers. However, there was no immediate report of any injury on either side.

Meanwhile, the whole area has been cordoned off by the forces to nab the attackers.
