Advisor Kumar visits Police Public School Bemina; reviews functioning

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 26: Advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar Friday visited J&K Police Public Higher Secondary School, here in Bemina and reviewed the functioning of the institution.

Kumar visited various sections of school including class rooms, Library, Laboratory and other sections and also interacted with students, staff and the school management to evaluate the functioning of school.

On the occasion, ADG Police (Headquarters), Abdul Gani Mir, SSP Haseeb Mughal, Principal of School, Tazim Wahid, School’s Administrative Officer, Shafqat Ali Watali and other concerned were present.

While enquiring about various facilities being provided to the students, Advisor emphasized on maintaining cleanliness in the school premises. On the occasion, he directed the teachers and school management to encourage reading habit among the students, as it will help in their intellectual development.

He also distributed cash awards among students who had shown better performance in academics and other extracurricular activities.

Later, Advisor Kumar visited JVC Hospital in Bemina to take stock of health facilities being provided to the patients in the hospital and also reviewed various construction works going on in the hospital premises.

On the occasion, he interacted with the patients and enquired about the medical facilities that are being provided to them. He also visited various wards and was briefed by the concerned doctors about their functioning.

Later, the Advisor also visited Maternity Center and General OPD in Sanat Nagar where he took stock of the healthcare facilities being provided to the patients.

On the occasion, he passed on certain instructions to the heads of both the health institutions for their better functioning.
