Upper reaches in Kashmir receive snowfall
Srinagar, Oct 16: Upper reaches of Kashmir Valley received witnessed fresh snowfall on Tuesday, which also brought down temperature in the plains.
Officials said Gurez valley in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district also received the season’s first snowfall late last night.
An official said that Dawar, Tulial and Baktore areas of Gurez witnessed moderate snowfall last night.
He said that around 3 inches of snow have accumulated in Dawar area since last night.
“Razdan Pass connecting Gurez valley with rest of the state has also received moderate snowfall,” he said.
Afarwat mountain overlooking the Gulmarg skiing resort in north Kashmir also got a fresh dose of snow.
