Train service halted in Kashmir
Srinagar: Train services were suspended on Thursday in the Kashmir valley following the killing of a civilian, militant.
Meanwhile, another gunfight raged today early morning in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
No train will chug on Srinagar-Budgam in central Kashmir to Baramulla in the north, an official said.
Similarly, all trains will remain suspended on Srinagar-Islamabad-Qazigund in south Kashmir with Banihal in Jammu, he added.
The decision to suspend the train service was taken on the advice of local authorities and police in view of apprehension of violence.
