Train service remains suspended, to resume today
Srinagar, Sep 17: Train service remained suspended for the third consecutive day on Monday in the Kashmir valley in the wake of separatists’ call for a general strike against the killing of five militants and a civilian at the hands of government forces in Kulgam district.
A fresh advisory was received last night to suspend train service in the Valley, reports quoted a senior railway official as having said.
He said no train will chug on Budgam-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region for the third day on Monday.
Similar advisory was issued for Srinagar-Budgam and Baramulla services.
Meanwhile, as per raily officials said that the services would be resumed on Tuesday.
