Kashmiri Doctor’s interview with Hollywood actor about Steroid abuse gets International recognition

Srinagar, September 10: A Los Angel’s based Hollywood Actor Chris Levine has been a victim of Steroid Abuse in his late teenage and then after ten years he came up with a movie titled “Anabolic Life” highlighting his battle with body image issue and thrusting into a world of steroids, crime and self- destruction.

A Kashmiri doctor namely Dr. Tasaduk Hussain Itoo, one of the renowned columnists of the valley interviewed Chris Levine about his struggle while being a Steroid Abuser and how he ended up into the movie Anabolic Life. This is the first ever Interview done by a Kashmiri doctor to a Hollywood Star to address drug menace practically.

Hailing from Poshkreri Village of Anantnag Dr Tasaduk wears many hats. Besides being a doctor by profession, he also works as a motivational speaker, activist, columnist and educator at Unacademy.

Talking to Kashmir Images Dr. Tasaduk said, “An article of mine titled ‘ Steroid Abuse: A Serious Youth Health Concern’ was published in one of the top local newspaper daily in Jammu & Kashmiri few months back.  Couple of days after publishing the article, I got a mail from Actor Chris Levine- reviewing the article and appreciating it. Actor Chris Levine asked me for an interview regarding Steroid Abuse as he has been a Steroid Abuser in his late teens/early twenties. I did an interview to him to address the Steroid Abuse in practical sense.”

“It contains almost 30 questions covering every aspect of Steroid Abuse and his personal experiences while being a Steroid Abuser. The interview I did through online mode and got that published on an international website for the first time. As of today the interview is published in many local newspapers and other international websites,” he added.

It is worth to mention that the Interview got International recognition and turned into stories at global level. Whole Anabolic Life Team acknowledged and appreciated it including the Director – Landon Williams, Producer – Cameron Barsanti , Co-producer- Chris Levine, Deevin Reeve  and Executive Producer – Sara Mairose of the movie. The interview is being shared by the Team to spread awareness regarding Steroid Abuse at Film industry and Global level.

“Steroid Abuse /Drug Abuse is a very big issue of concern among youth in the current times and it needs to be addressed very seriously,” Dr Tasaduk added.
