Srinagar: National Conference President and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah on Saturday said that his party will boycott Lok Sabha and assembly elections as well if the Government of India doesn’t come clean about its stance vis-à-vis Article 35-A and Article 370.

Talking to reporters on the sidelights of a function, that was held to pay tributes to party’s founder leader, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah, Dr Farooq said that NC will not only boycott Panchayat elections but also Lok Sabha and Assembly elections if the GoI doesn’t clear its stand on Article 35A and Article 370.

It is pertinent to mention that NC has already decided to stay away from Panchayat and municipal polls scheduled from next month in the state.
