Fake currency racket busted in Jammu, three held
Jammu, Aug 25: Police today claimed to have busted a fake currency racket with the arrest of three people and seizure of counterfeit notes with face value Rs 82,000.
The arrests were made following a complaint from a man yesterday who claimed that Rs 75,000 he received after selling a mobile phone were in fake notes, a police official said.
“After hectic efforts, some suspects were rounded up and put to sustained questioning,” he said adding it led to the arrest of the three accused – Rohit Kumar, Sahil Kumar and Gharu Ram
The accused have confessed to their involvement in the crime, the official said, adding a laptop, printer, fake currency of face value Rs 82,000 were seized from them.
