Many youth detained during nocturnal raids in Sopore village
Sopore, Aug 19: Around a dozen youth were detained by the government forces during nocturnal raids in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports said nearly a dozen youth were detained during raids in Tujjar village of Sopore for their alleged involvement in stone-pelting incidents.
However, family members of arrested youth maintained that the youth were innocent and had nothing to do with stone-pelting.
Meanwhile, a police official confirmed the arrests and said the youth were involved in stone pelting and where identified through video clips.
Pertinently, stone-pelting clashes had erupted in Tujjar village during cordon and search operation last Thursday.
