Finals of Open Kashmir Hockey championship held

SRINAGAR, JULY 24: The final match of “Open Kashmir Hockey Championship” was played between Baramulla and Badal Club today at Gindun stadium in Srinagar.

The tournament was organized by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K state sports council for the revival of the hockey among students in the valley. Baramulla won the match 3-1 through a tie-breaker.

The winners were awarded by Chief Guest Joint Secretary of Hockey India Asma Ali and special guest Joint secretary of Hockey J&K Raja Ghulam Nabi Wani. The participating teams were also felicitated on the occasion.

Dr Narinder Batra, president Indian Olympic Association send their good wishes to the team and the organizers for organizing such a grand event.

Technical director of organizing body namely, Ravi Raj, Dr Amit, Sheikh Tulal Sahab, Bashir Ahmad Mir, Hardip Singh, Rafiq Ahmad Baba and other officials were also present on this occasion.
