DC Shopian reviews Independence Day arrangements
SHOPIAN, JULY 23: Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Owais Ahmed, today chaired a meeting of district officers and various security agencies to review the preparedness for Independence Day-2018.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Parvaiz Sajad Ganie, Additional SP, CEO, Engineers of R&B, PHE, PDD, Officers from various security agencies Tehsildars of the district, and other concerned.
It was given out that the main function shall be held at District Police Lines Shopian.
The meeting was informed that contingents of JKP, CRPF, Fire & Emergency Services, NCC, students of government and private schools will participate in the march past parade.
DC directed district heads to ensure the participation of the staff on full dress rehearsal function and on the Independence Day function.
Preparation and consolidation of the main venue ground, rostrum, seating arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water/tanker service, barricading of venue, medical aid camp, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders and sanitation measures were discussed threadbare in the meeting.
ADC Shopian was nominated as nodal officer to monitor the preparedness activities regarding the Independence Day celebrations.
