Smart phone film making course in Baramulla

Srinagar, 22 July 2018.     Under the flagship programme – Skilling in Films and Television (SKIFT), the Army in collaboration with Films and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune has commenced a first of its kind Smart Phone Film Making course which is being conducted from 21st July 2018 at Chinar Nau Jawan Club, Baramulla for 30 youth having a flare for movie making.

A defense spokesman in a statement said that the FTIl recently conducted a screen acting course in Baramulla which received an overwhelming response from the youth. FTII has added new dimensions to Army’s continued efforts by identifying young talent among the youth of the Valley. The course will also provide good employment opportunities to the youth in the creative world.

The opening ceremony of the course was attended by Army officials, eminent personalities and parents of the students who appreciated the efforts of FTII for providing a platform to the youth and giving them an opportunity to learn basics of movie making in Baramulla itself. They also called upon the participants to make the best use of this opportunity and learn from the well qualified faculty of FTII.
