Pays rich tributes to 1931 martyrs

Srinagar: The Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has termed the continuous killings in Kashmir as part of a ‘well planned genocide’ and added that the struggle of Kashmiri people for their political rights continues despite all such ‘brutal tactics’ since 1931.

This genocide which is part of a long term Indian policy is aimed at crushing the political sentiments in the disputed region,” he was quoted as saying by the press release.

Moulana Tari paid rich and glowing tributes to Sameer Ahmad Sheikh of Rawalpora, Shopian and his associate who were killed at Kundalan Shopian during an encounter terming them ‘martyrs who fought the Indian forces’. He prayed for the speedy recovery for those who were injured in the subsequent clashes between forces and protestors.
