Srinagar, Jul 04: Traffic on 300-km long Srinagar-Jammu highway and historic Mughal road was resumed on Wednesday after remaining closed due to landslides at various places on these strategic roads.

The Border Roads Organisation (BRO), which maintains the highways in Kashmir, put the men and machinery at the work to help in restoring traffic on Srinagar-Jammu highway, officials said.

Highway authorities allowed only light motor vehicles to ply from Srinagar to Jammu and vice-versa.

Meanwhile, the traffic movement was also restored on Mughal road which connects Kashmir Valley to twin district of Rajouri and Poonch.
