Tourist dies of cardiac arrest in Gulmarg

Gulmarg, June 23: A septuagenarian tourist died possible due to cardiac arrest at the tourist resort Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday, police said.

According to reports, Lakshman Holi (77), son of  Sharmadar Holi of Dulhia Maharashtra reached Gulmarg today morning from Srinagar to enjoy trekking and Gondola ride. However he felt  unconscious after coming out  from the room where he was staying for a while.  He was shifted to hospital but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The body of the deceased tourist has been handed over to his family members for last rites, police said, adding that proceedings have been initiated.
