KPC condolence meet on Shujaat Bukhari
Srinagar: The Kashmir Press Club Coordination Committee Tuesday held a condolence meeting at the KPC premises in memory of slain colleague and Rising Kashmir Editor, Shujaat Bukhari who was brutally murdered Thursday evening by unidentified gunmen.
During the meeting the KPCCC members offered fateha for the departed soul and recalled Shujaat’s contribution as a journalist, colleague, friend and a human being, a statement issued by KPCCC said.
The KPCCC members said that the entire journalistic fraternity of Kashmir is yet to come out of the shock of Shujaat’s killing and does not know how the void created by the brutal murder will be filled.
Some of the KPCCC members who had known Shujaat for over two decades also recalled a few incidents and memories that they said they will cherish forever.
Denouncing the killing KPCCC asked the police to expedite the investigations into the murder which has shocked the entire fraternity.
