War is no option for India, Pakistan: Soz
Srinagar: Prof. Saifuddin Soz, Former Union Minister, today said that Dr Shujaat Bukhari tried to promote a strong debate on the miseries that the people of Kashmir suffered primarily for the fact that there was hostility between India and Pakistan.
Speaking at a congregation meet at Kreri today that was organised by the family to commemorate Bukhari’s Fateh, Soz said that Bukhari was a strong votary of cordiality between India and Pakistan.
Soz told the gathering that since the neighbourhood cannot be changed, India and Pakistan have to be friends, adding, it was necessary for people to understand that both India and Pakistan happen to be nuclear powers and therefore war can never be an option.
“Peace and cordiality between India and Pakistan has to be a mission in the life for every citizen of the sub-continent,” he asserted.
