Paramilitary trooper injured after militants attack CRPF in Lasjan

Srinagar, June 16: A paramilitary trooper was injured after militants attacked CRPF party in Lasjan area of Srinagar outskirts on Saturday afternoon.

Official sources told GNS that a group of militants opened indiscriminate fire upon the CRPF 29 battalion at Lasjan near Pantha Chowk.

In the incident, a trooper is said to have received injuries and has been hospitalized, they said.

A police officer when contacted confirmed the attack and said that the CRPF men retaliated the fire. However, there was no report of any injury to the enemy side.

The entire area has been cordoned off and massive searches in the area along with the Srinagar-Jammu highway has been launched to nab the assailants. (GNS)
