KUTA condemns ‘cold blooded murder’ of Bukhari
Srinagar: Kashmir University Teachers Association (KUTA) has condemned in the strongest possible terms the cold blooded and brutal murder of Syed Shujaat Bukhari, Editor-In-Chief of Daily Rising Kashmir and termed his killing as an assault on the freedom of speech and expression as well as on free and fair journalism.
A spokesman of KUTA in his statement described Shujaat Bukhari as a fearless journalist, a noble soul, an epitome of impeccable human character, an ace political analyst, a quiet philanthropist, an ardent orator, an erudite writer and above all a Kashmiri nationalist to the core. All members of the Kashmir University Teaching fraternity feel immensely saddened and shocked upon the dastardly killing of Syed Shujaat Bukhari and share the grief of his bereaved family. KUTA has called for an immediate end to such killings that are totally unpardonable, unjustifiable and unacceptable.
