Hanjura, Ashraf lay foundation of Community Hall at Harwan

SRINAGAR, JUNE 06: Minister for Revenue Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura and Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Mohammad Ashraf Mir today jointly laid the foundation stone of community hall at Chandpora Harwan.

The community hall will be constructed by Custodian Department at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore and would be completed within one year.

Commissioner Secretary Revenue Shahid Anayatullah, District Development Commissioner Srinagar Syed Abid Rashid, Custodian General, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, and senior Revenue officers were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Hanjura said that Government is working to usher a new dawn of development in the state. He also said that infrastructure creation is one of the major components for giving a boost to development in the State.

He assured the people of the area that Government has conceived plan for major infrastructure development in different sectors like health, education, tourism and road network to restore the historical glory of the area.

The Minister asked the officers to ensure greater transparency while rendering services to the people and work with added zeal and zest. He said the people living in far-flung areas need a special attention and steps need to be taken to provide all services to them at their doorsteps.

Hanjura said that department is planning to construct these types of community centres in every corner of the state so that people get maximum benefit out of these centres.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashraf Mir asked the people to come forward and avail the benefits of different pro-worker schemes of government.

Mir appreciated the Revenue Department for constructing the community hall in the constituency.  He said that the infrastructural development would provide multiple facilities to people at their doorsteps.
