3 Budgam youth held for stone-pelting

Srinagar, May 30: Three youth were detained in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday for their alleged complicity in an incident of stone pelting.

Reports said three youth from Alamdar Colony at Char-e-Sharief were arrested, after they allegedly tried to disrupt foundation ceremony of a local receiving station at the hands of local MLA Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura and Power minister Sushil Kumar Sharma inaugurated the receiving station.

A police official confirmed the detention of the youth. He said the trio tried to disrupt the ceremony by pelting stones on the police deployment.
