DDC Kulgam reviews implementation of CM’s commitments

KULGAM 26 MAY: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Sajad Hussain, today convened a meeting to review the status of directions passed by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for the district during her public outreach programme.

The meeting was attended by CEO Aharbal Development Authority, Chief Planning Officer, SEs of PDD, PHE, R&B, SDM Noorabad, CMO, CEO ACD Kulgam, Executive Engineers of PHE, R&B, Irrigation and Flood Control, besides district and sectoral officer of allied departments.

The meeting was informed that out of 347 directions passed by the Chief Minister, 98 have been completed so far and 94 are at different stages of execution, while as 109 directions have been referred for administrative approval.

SE of PHE briefed the meeting that Water Supply Schemes Razloo Kund, Yaripora Sudsun would be commissioned in next 15 days. He also briefed that out of 33 non-functional filtration plants in the district, 12 have been completed so far while tendering process of 10 plants for the current financial year is under process.

The DDC was informed that development of Nagras (kund) village has been taken up on the modern lines and 123 works have been identified and will be completed in next three years. He also informed the meeting that four footbridges will be commissioned soon.

While giving performance report on CM’s directions, Executive Engineer Flood control said that work on 64 flood vulnerable spots along the Veshoew Nalla is going on in full swing.

On the occasion, DDC stressed on time-bound completion of all the directions of CM on priority. He also called for complete synergy between various line departments involved in infrastructure building and stressed on strict adherence to set timelines for all the on-going development projects.
