Srinagar: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik today said that slogans of development and economic growth are being used to deny our freedom and right to self determination.

While addressing a gathering at Masjid Imam-U-Zaman, The Bund Srinagar today, Malik stressed upon the need of strengthening unity among the ranks and files of Muslim Ummah, JKLF chairman in his speech said that we all believe in one Allah and his last Messenger (SAW), recite one Kalima, pray towards one Kaabah and follow one Quran and hence should stand united in all aspects of life.

While referring to recent statement of Prime Minister Nerander Modi during his Kashmir visit in which he talked about development and peace, JKLF chairman said that every occupational power talks about peace, progress and development of the occupied land and lures oppressed people with the slogans of development, government jobs, quality life and other materialistic things like these.

“India from last seventy years has been doing the same,” Malik said and added the delay in resolving the basic issue of Jammu Kashmir has turned Kashmiris more brave, more resilient and more passionate for their freedom and right to self determination.

Meanwhile JKLF chairman has strongly condemned the use of pellets and bullets at Nowhata and parts of Sher-I-Khas in which dozens of young boys have been injured among whom many have received pellets in their eyes.
