PHQ, other move police offices resume functioning

DGP inspects police establishments at Srinagar

SRINAGAR MAY 07: In connection with the annual Darbar Move from Jammu to the summer capital, Police Headquarters and other move police offices resumed their functioning here today.

Director General of Police (DGP), Dr. S.P Vaid visited the headquarter offices of different wings and other Police offices.

In the morning, Dr. Vaid was received by senior police officers at PHQ. He was presented a guard of honour by a contingent of Armed Police. He also inspected different sections of PHQ.

DGP chaired a meeting of senior police officers at PHQ which was attended by Special DG PHQ V.K Singh, IGsP Sunil Kumar, Jagjit Kumar, J.P Singh,  Anand Jain, S.P Pani, DIG V.K. Birdi, AIG( Personnel) Aftab Ahmad Kakroo, SSP Budam Tejinder Singh, AIG (P&T) Mubassir Latifi, AIG Policy & Training) Sameer Rekhi, AIG ( Building) Abdul Waheed Shah, AIG Welfare & Communication Manoj Pandith, SE PHQ Rashid Mustafa and Xen PCD Khursheed Ahmad Wani.

Dr. Vaid later visited Headquarters of Armed Police, Security, Home Guard, CID, Crime Branch, Zonal Police Headquarter, Range Police Headquarter and District Police Office Srinagar. He also visited Police Control Room Kashmir. The DGP was briefed by the heads of these wings regarding their functioning at Srinagar.

DGP inspected different sections of these offices and interacted with the police personnel. He also held meetings on these headquarters with the senior officers. The officers put forth some requirements in these meetings.

DGP sought status of different constructions and crime disposal work during these meetings. Respective heads of the wings briefed the DGP on these and some other matters.
