Srinagar, Apr 23: Expressing concern over the prevailing situation in the state, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today alleged that deteriorating situation was fall-out of wrong policies adopted by the PDP-BJP coalition.

The party also cautioned the people against the designs of communal and divisive forces dividing people on religious and regional lines, and urged them to maintain unity and communal harmony.

According to a party press release, addressing the meeting of senior party functionaries in Srinagar today, the JKPCC president G.A. Mir blamed both PDP and BJP for the current prevailing situation in the State.

“The contradiction in the approach of PDP and BJP remains the cause behind deteriorating situation in the state, as a result of which , common masses are braving the brunt of utter failure and differences between coalition partners on certain issues,” he said.

Holding PDP-BJP ruling dispensation responsible for the “current mess”, Mir said “there is a deep alienation among the people due to the wrong policies adopted by the coalition partners. Both PDP and BJP have failed the people in all the three regions of the state.”

He alleged that their “unholy alliance is detrimental to peace and communal harmony in the state.”
